Marco Maran
Marco Maran was born in Siena in 1963. He qualified at the art institute of Siena and attends the Florence University of Architecture. He collaborates successfully with several design companies and in 1994 obtains a special distinction at the competition Young&Design for the chair "Ciak" with a tip-up seat. In 1995 received the first prize at Young&Design as the best young Designer with the chair "Sinué" in plastic. In 1996 he received the second prize at Young&Design with the project "Zip". In 1997 he wins the International Grandesign Award with the CHIACCHERA and also the IIDA Product Design Archievement Awards with the SCOOP chair. Several important projects, realized with his designs, such as the Press meetingroom during the last Soccer World Cup France '98. In 1999 obtains a special distinction at the competition Young&Design with the chair BLA-BLA-BLA. In 2000/2001 he takes part of ITALIAN DESIGN ON TOUR: the selection, certification and production of the best italian products.
